Over-all fellow employees were pleasant to work with
Secretary/Receptionist (Current Employee), Indiana, PA – August 17, 2013
Pros: flexibility of schedule if time off needed or vacation
Cons: lack of benefits for part-time employees
Answering phones, setting up next day's delivery route, processing mail, entering payments on computer. Learned how to deal with all kinds of people over the phone (i.e. angry, upset, concerned, vague, etc.) in a pleasant and calming manner. Co-workers were a fun group to work with overall. Hardest part of the job was dealing with the owner's overall – more... unpleasant attitude - curt & rude to customers on the phone, would yell & swear at drivers in garage area where customers in office could plainly hear. Made a co-worker office manager & she proceeded to make the atmosphere unpleasant (suffice it to say we have been through 3-4 additional secretaries in the past 2-3 yrs). I have put up with the situation, but it's wearing me out and it's time for a change. – less

They were always lying to customers to get them to purchase additional equipment. For instance, if a customer's softener needed more material in it to function properly, they would send a technician that was commission based on anything they sold out to tell you that you needed a complete new system. The tech made commission and the business wrongfully – more... took your money! – less
