Company is going through cost-cutting and it shows
Associate Research Analyst (Current Employee), New York, New York – November 20, 2013
Credit Suisse's strategy is to keep and pay the few senior analysts who bring in the majority of revenue and cut costs on the rest of the staff -- from senior analysts in other segments to associates, etc. This even includes downgrading from factset to thomson reuters so that you cannot get real time quotes except if you go on google finance. And they – more... removed one of the two bloomberg terminals on the floor for general use.
Doesn't pay to work for a company in secular decline. – less
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee), New York, NY – November 7, 2013
Credit Suisse is a challenging yet productive work environment, where I have had the pleasure of supportiing two MDRs and one Director.
A typical day for myself would be an 8am start and straight into calendar management and travel arrangements. These two were always top priority for my role.
My biggest challenge has been supporting two teams at one – more... time. I took the opportunity because I felt it would increase my chance of landing a permanant position, however it came to the point where I was at max capacity. Although my capacity was full, I was able to manage both roles in two different departments, and showed the true meaning of Business Continutiy. – less

Pros: security - it is flexible to take a movement whithin the organisation.
Cons: long hours due to errors in team
It was a very good experience to work with Credit Suisse as I learned too much about Stock lending and borrowing within a short period of time. However i have to leave the organosation due to personal reason.
