Those who are looking for your average 9-5 this is your place. A day in and day out 24hour call center with no room for growth opportunity. They keep their temp employees under 40hours a week. The place would not be so bad if management were half way competent. Benefits are too expensive to and time off balances are okay.

A typical day for me began with me checking voice mail to who would be out that day. Then I would know how exactly to govern my self for the day. If it was a Monday I would update the vacation logs and collect those that had not been turned in yet, this was done for 7 units within the office. If the system was down within the entire the region then – more... I would work with Home Office to bring it back up. Then I would continue with processing the office bills. I do a 4 on 4 off shift pattern this consists of days and nights. I have to input new claims on to the system I triage all out of hours calls that I take I arrange for loss Adjusters to visit claims and also deal with commercial claims as well as domestic claims.

I learned that insurance adjusting is a very difficult job, due to the fact that you are always dealing with someone who has had a loss of some sort.

Processed workers compensation claims for accuracy. Advised customers of decision.

A typical day at work was typing up a variety of loss reports for the Commercial Department occasionally I had the opportunity of typing up loss reports for the Fraud Department.

I learned the business from a great manager who taught me alot. Good job to learn all the aspects of property insurance.

Great place to work, but poor management. Poor job security due to when work is slow your department can be downsized at short notice.

When I started, the project was in motion. No one had anticipated how huge the project would become. It was only anticipated that approximately 186 cases would be registered but to date there are in excess of nearly 4000 patients.

I was constantly busy and i had no prior experience so it was quite a challenge, yet interesting.

I had to be on top of – more... my game all the time, no room for error. So some days you just wanted run away, but then tomorrow was always another day.

Interesting caseload, good management at my branch. I enjoyed my four and a half years with the company.

I learnt a varied many tasks relating to Insurance including terminology. I worked within a fun team and I enjoyed going to work every day. I was very disappointed to be made redundant.

The hardest part of this role is the circumstances that the insured is dealing with as it is a stressful period for them which can result in upset and anger.

Completion of the claim is the most favourable part, customer satisfaction at the end gives me a sense of achievement. – less

I was a receptionist who answered busy phone lines. I learned about telephone communication worked with upper management with confidentiality of the company's policy and procedures. The hardeest part of my job was to see it close down. The most enjoyable part of my job was watching everyone get to work on time.

A typical day consisted of logging in to a system to see any new updates. Email staff and clients with weekly research and upcoming meetings.
