CIS is seeking dedicated, uniformed security professionals to work at various oil and gas camps in northern Alberta.
Applicants must have a valid ALBERTA SECURITY LICENSE and be available to work 12 hour evening shifts. Strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with exceptional conflict management abilities are essential. Guards must speak, read and write fluently in English, be Canadian Citizens and have had no criminal charges or convictions in any jurisdiction. Preference is given to applicants who have recently served as a member of the RCMP, a Canadian Municipal Police Service or as a Provincial or Municipal Peace Officer.
This is a very easy going work site that is best suited to a guard who fits well with our team of former Police Officers. It requires sporadic foot patrols and occasional response to calls for service, but is an over-all enjoyable and social environment.
Security Guards are required to live on-site at oil and gas camps that serve 500 + workers and while on duty, will provide visible foot patrols of the camp common areas to ensure the safety of all residents and employees, protect all client assets, enforce camp rules and policies and to keep the peace. Our camps are operated as a friendly and safe environment that offers an opportunity for guests to enjoy rest and relaxation. This is a non-militant environment and best suited to Guards who wish to work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Rotations are a minimum of 2 weeks on and 1-2 weeks off at 84 hours per week based on 12 hour shifts - 7 days per week.
All meals and lodgings are provided and travel to the camp from the Edmonton office is provided via the shuttle and travel time is paid. Rate starts at $17/hour cash for a short term contract/probation period. Increases upon successful completion of probation.
