Picker/Packer (Former Employee) – Whitinsville, MA – 17 September 2017
No Comment or any type of review, there really isn't anything I want to say about the job other than I worked there and it gave me good experience to move on. I would have stayed true to no comment but I have to have at least 150 characters minimum to get to the next page./
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) – Sanford, NC – 17 September 2017
provides excellent progressive, growth-oriented work environment, where you’ll enjoy greater independence, and a strong team atmosphere. Also provide excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) or RRSP with employer matching and immediate vesting, tuition reimbursement, voluntary benefits.
Janitor (Former Employee) – Solon, OH – 2 September 2017
worst place to work the management don't know what they're doing and every employee act like a kid like they belong and daycare and there are the worst company to work for and P.S They need to grow up like adults
Driver (Former Employee) – West Sacramento, CA – 24 August 2017
Anything to do with west sac division is a joke management needs help they keep irritating there drivers, example they have supervisors following drivers around to see if u place 2 cones around your truck???? Really why not 4 all around if ur so worried about some person hitting a big truck they shouldnt be driving in the first place stop making changes for the drivers concentrate on yourselves your warehouse is a joke everybody high on something you shouldnt have your first stop on ur last stop pallet and expect the driver to go back... Ya like thats guna happen... Your transportation office talks to us like we are dumb and if we call to report missing high value items...what did u do with them... So being accused now...mmm id check ur warehouse personnel... Ohhh wait u are and there geting fired for stealing... U guys are a joke... I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone good luck.
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) – Portland, OR – 15 August 2017
We worked 15-20 hours per shift. Any problem that was taken to the manager or a supervisor was ignored or taken as a joke. Their only concern was getting orders out. Anything else was considered irrelevant or not important. They don't care about the well being of the employees and always rushed everyone no matter how fast they went.
Poor management, extremely long hours, lack of attention to employees
Order Picker/Forklift Operator (Current Employee) – Sacramento, CA – 9 August 2017
The only way this company will really thrive is if they change their management team and give employees more incentive and possible promotions. Also, employees should be paid more for what we go through on a daily basis. The environment is brutal working in a -20 freezer.
Selector (Former Employee) – Tampa, FL – 9 August 2017
Work their for almost 3 years not very happy about the job but it's ok place to work. HR and OP management are sucks very hateful, they don't help employee in need no support at all. I don't be surprised if these place will closed down employee don't stay long either they fired them or quit. Warehouse team was great. I learn a lot about RF gun and wrist scanner.
Order Puller (Former Employee) – Forrest City, AR – 21 July 2017
Good pay. Finally got a nice pay increase but hours got cut so made a lot less biweekly. Management and HR very prejudice and unprofessional. Needs to be an investigation of Supervisors and Management.
Good pay, company picnics.
Supervisors sleeping with Line workers, unprofessional. Long hours.
I've was an employee for over two years and recently had to leave due to personal circumstances. The company has made a great improvement in promoting and displaying the company values. I was seeing more and more employees staying which was very encouraging; it was hard for me to leave!
Management, Division President and HR really seem to care for the employees and they provide us with a monthly employee appreciation day. Safety is also top priority.
I feel though that they could improve on the scheduling. Work has been slower than previous years though and still cannot get set hours. But if you don't mind this, this would be a good place to work for. Very stable company and I felt appreciated.
Case Selector (Former Employee) – Ft. Worth, TX – 24 June 2017
The worst job i've ever had and i've worked other warehouses. If you work here get ready for the most racist staff you've ever worked with. And a management team that does not care about you or you're family. The pay is rigged for them to take money that you have earned for what ever reason they see fit.And the benefits are the worst i've ever seen. This place is a joke of a company in Ft. Worth.
Forklift Operator (Current Employee) – West Sacramento, CA – 2 June 2017
Bad management, looong hours, not air conditioned, never get trained properly but get write ups if you make a mistake, allow untrained supervisors to get in your face in threatening manner and You get suspended for it. Dirty warehouse very unorganized. Wouldn't recommend working there unless it's a last resort !!
??? Not really any pros
Poor management, no room to advance, no overnight difference in pay from day shift or freezer work pay difference.
Worker (Current Employee) – Whitinsville, MA – 8 May 2017
This is a really terrible place to work. They desperately need to do something to turn this place around. It is just a sad, sad, place. Supervisors and Ops Mngmt care, but that's about it. Health insurance is really good, all other benefits are HORRIBLE. 1 week vacation???? Seriousl???????? I am pretty sure they are violating a whole bunch of employment laws too. You'd think since they were a bigger company it would be better, but it's like they just don't care. Where is the coporate culture? It's like wer'e left to the wolves here.
Sales Development Representative (Current Employee) – Forrest City, AR – 27 April 2017
The SDR role is tough depending on customers and can be breeze. There are good days and bad days. You are given tools to succeed. Job can become routine but if you are able to find a competitive streak within yourself. This job could work for you. I enjoy competing against competitors, as well as my colleagues. Must be self driven.
No one is hounding you daily. Take breaks as you like. Start and finish as you like.
Sometimes long days. Core-Mark lacks brand recognition in the Southeast.
Core-Mark overall leadership is pathetic and they need to be investigated and shut down
Facility Maintenance Manager (Current Employee) – Smyrna, GA – 26 April 2017
Core-Mark is the most depressing, unfair, stressful, prejudice, disdained place to work at now. Also the HR manager is the worst I've encountered in my life. She allows the Operation manager to threaten and verbally abuse the employees. She allows him to fire anyone who he feels want take his abuse and threats without reporting it. Any time anyone writes a statement reporting his abuse the HR manager immediately runs and tells him that an employee is reporting him and who the person is. They immediately find a reason to fire that person and discard of the statement. He has made the work environment very hostile with the aid of the HR manager. He also says that the president of Core-Mark Bill Stein is a personal aquaintance of his and he told him that he can fire anyone he wants to. I personally wouldn't recommend that anyone work at Core-Mark because it is being poorly managed and
The operation manager dosent have a clue how to run that plant.
