Property Manager – Opportunity for Advancement
A well-established, entrepreneurial, mid-sized, privately owned, Real Estate Investment Company based in Calgary has an immediate opening in our Commercial Properties Business Unit for an Operations Manager. This position will be of particular interest to someone that already has a solid background in operations and has a keen interest in expanding their role into leasing. The primary responsibilities (time allocation 60-70%) in this role will be to oversee the day to day operations of a small portfolio of commercial properties currently comprising approximately 500K square feet in 10 buildings. In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with the Leasing Manager as mentor, to progressively develop their leasing skills, potentially leading to a more senior role within the Business Unit.
This position requires someone with a solid operations background who, as a key member of a small team, can work well independently; someone who is well organized, has great people skills complemented by very good computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher and Power-Point. Preference will be given to those candidates that have had some exposure/experience with property management software programs such as Spectra. To thrive in our fast paced entrepreneurial environment we believe that the successful candidate will need to have a minimum of 5 yrs of related industry experience together with an industry related designation such as an RPA, or CPM.
