Overall,Compuware is been a great company to work for.
Pros: has a cafeteria, daycare and a wellness center which is good for employees. great balance of work and wellness.
Cons: compuware used to be a great company to work for but recently, no one knows what is going on. lots of uncertainty and pressure from stockholder to sell.
My main role is a support analyst so i receive customer issues via email, phone or through the hotline. I investigate the issues, sometimes duplicate them, respond to customer in a timely manner, manage customer expectation, communicate with customer, development, management and QA.
The greatest thing i have learned is to stay calm and positive even – more... when everything is falling apart.
I have learned that sometimes, Management may not necessarily tell you all what they need to know, you just have to plug in the other piece of the puzzle and move on.
Not all co workers will treat you the same. I don't take anything personal. I treat everyone with respect and life goes on.
The hardest part of my job is going back to a valued customer, look at them in the eye and say, i am sorry but we are not able to deliver as requested. We have to be realistic, things happen and sometimes, expectations from customers are unrealistic. I have to be firm on my decision.
The most enjoyable part of my job is helping out customers with their issues either in person, on webex or on the phone. – less
