Compugen is a supplier of Information Technology Products and Services. This position is responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, installation, and upgrade of Servers, Computer desktops, Notebooks, workstations, printers, peripherals as well as associated operating systems and application software.

Responsibilities:

Perform troubleshooting to determine and resolve the root cause of most hardware or software -malfunctions at the Server and End User Desktop level.
Perform hardware warranty and non-warranty repairs of desktops, notebooks, and printers
Perform complex moves, adds, changes of computer equipment
Perform complex hardware and/or software upgrades to existing equipment
Perform advanced network connections for desktops and printers
Responsible to maintain and update major vendor (HP and IBM, Lenovo) certifications*Assist with moving computing hardware and associated reconfiguring
Installing of new and used hardware units and components
Troubleshooting problems, performing diagnostics
Maintain Service Level Agreements for all services outline in the contract
Coordinate warranty/post-warranty repair of hardware and accessories
Updating, escalating and closing of tickets in various systems
Maintaining parts inventory
Provide IT services to an underground environment
Provide after-hours on-call services on a rotational basis

Qualifications:
A Technical Diploma or University degree in Computer Science or related field
A+ Certification Mandatory
HP foundations certification required
Warranty authorizations for HP and Lenovo an asset.
Knowledge of an incident and problem management tool such as Remedy
Strong Windows XP and Win 7 OS knowledge
Strong troubleshooting skills
Experience supporting Office Suite of products
Good written and verbal communication skills
A sense of urgency to complete tasks and assignments
Ability to take direction and follow practices and procedures consistently and accurately
Good time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Must be willing to wear safety gear - Mandatory
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. on a regular basis
Must be willing to travel underground with company escort
Must be willing to part-take in weekly and rotational on-call and after hours work
