We are seeking occupational therapists with at least 2 years of clinical experience and strong communication, negotiation and report writing skills. OT POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Community Home Health & Brain Injury Rehabilitation

Available Territories: Greater Vancouver, Burnaby/Vancouver

This community based position involves Home Assessments to determine equipment, home support and attendant care needs and Cognitive Rehabilitation to increase client independence in home and community settings. Graduated activity programs to increase physical tolerances or facilitate Community Integration also form a part of this role. Working with funders including health authorities, insurers and government agencies, this position requires OTs to utilize Rehabilitation Case Management to facilitate client access to appropriate health services. Primary health populations include Brain Injury (TBI & Stroke), Complex Orthopedics and General Medical. Experience working with individuals affected by brain injury (stroke, TBI) or other neurological disabilities is required.

Community Home Health & Return to Work Rehabilitation

Available Territories: Greater Vancouver, Burnaby/Vancouver

This community based position involves Home Assessments to determine equipment, support and attendant care needs. For clients requiring assistance in Return to Work, functional assessments, job site visits and development of graduated return to work plans also form part of the duties. Depending on candidate experience and interest, the client profile may include individuals with acquired brain injury who require assessment and Cognitive Rehabilitation to increase their independence in home, community and vocational settings. Working with funders including health authorities, insurers and government agencies, the OT will utilize Rehabilitation Case Management to facilitate client access to appropriate health services. Primary health populations include Orthopedics, General Medical and Brain Injury. Secondary health populations include Mental Health and Chronic Pain.

Community Rehabilitation Generalist

Available Territories

Northern BC: Terrace, Smithers, Prince George, Quesnel, Williams Lake
Okanagan Valley: Penticton, Kelowna, Similkameen

These rural positions involve Home Assessments to determine equipment, home support and attendant care needs and Cognitive Rehabilitation to increase client independence in home and community settings. Additionally, graduated activity programs to increase physical tolerances or facilitate Community Integration as well as Return to Work Services including functional assessment, job site visits and graduated return work programming may also be required. Working with funders including health authorities, insurers and government agencies, this position requires OTs to utilize Rehabilitation Case Management to facilitate client access to appropriate health services. Primary health populations include Complex Orthopedics and General Medical. Secondary health populations include Brain Injury, Mental Health and Chronic Pain. This position is well suited to an experienced generalist with experience in at least 2 of the 3 requisite case profiles though it is expected that the majority of the work will be Home Health. Based on therapist’s residence location a geographic territory will be assigned.
