Description of Position:
Community T.I.E.S Daycare is a not for profit daycare serving Penhold and surrounding areas. Currently looking for child care professionals to join our team. If you are looking to complete a child care practicum, our smaller daycare provides a great learning opportunity and friendly environment to get you started in your career. The Daycare is also looking for permanent full time staff who are creative, outgoing, professional and supportive in nature. Our tots are very close to us and a winning attitude and creativity is what we are seeking. Accreditation is just around the corner, so if this smaller, friendly atmosphere filled with children is what you are seeking, send us your resume. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively and contribute as a valuable team member
  • Provide high quality child care that meets the individual and group needs of the children
  • Use a variety of positive guidance strategies with individual and groups of children
  • Establish an inclusive environment that is supportive of all cultures, as well as cognitive and physical abilities and limitations
  • Plan and implement an emergent curriculum
  • Establish positive relationships with children and parents
  • Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment
  • Develop superior practises through Professional Development and the Accreditation process

Certifications/Qualifications/Education:

  • Child Development Assistant, Worker or Supervisor Qualification Certificate
  • Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector search
  • Child Intervention Check
  • First Aid Certificate

Nature of work: Full time and available from 6:30am to 6:00pm (PSAC 6:30pm) Monthly shift rotation; 9 hour shifts with 1 hour lunch break unpaid

Category: Child Care Professionals

Wage: Hours- Full Time (must be available for any shift between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM. (PSAC 6:30 PM). We rotate shifts monthly. The shifts are 9 hours with an unpaid 1 hour lunch break.
Hourly wage negotiable on experience with added wage enhancement
$ 1.44/hour for an Assistant (formerly Level I)
$2.70/hour for a Worker (formerly Level II)
*With accreditation, wage enhancement will increase to.
$ 2.14/hr Assistant
$4.05/hr Worker
