In this line of work, you really should have some education and hands-on training before jumping into it.
In this job I learned very quickly the do's * don't when dealing with behavioral clients.
Administered meds after med-count and document it all on each shift
Assisted clients with daily life activities, designated programs, as well as personal hygiene care.
Accompanied and chauffeured clients to job placements, appointments and routine outings.
Pre-trip & post trip, mileage, fuel receipts for every use of company vans
Reported any defects found
Maintained driveway, parking lot and entrances for safety of clients and staff.
Documentation of behaviors within the clients
Handed in any incidents/accident reports if any
Should have some knowledge in this field before applying. It helps.
