My client, an established family owned and operated retail business, is looking for an experienced bookkeeper.

The role of this full cycle bookkeeper will be to keep track of the financial documents and the business as a whole as well as administrative duties as required. Key Responsibilities include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, ensuring the above balance to the general ledger, identify and analyze reports related to a POS (Point of Sale) system. Perform monthly accounting duties including invoicing, accounts payable, reconciliations, government remittances, statements of account, balancing of accounts, bank deposits and financial statements. This candidate must be able to complete weekly and monthly financial reporting. Also to be able to perform general HR duties and office related tasks in Microsoft suite of software. There will be an implementation of new POS software in the future. Also, Administrative assistance will be required for the management and staff.

Experience in a small owner managed business environment would be an asset.
The candidate must have a formal education in accounting and 3+ years’ experience as a bookkeeper or in accounting as well as business administration. Being an expert in QuickBooks and/or AccPac is an asset.
