About the Job
We are actively recruiting for one of the fastest-growing Business Event Planning companies in North America. This is a B2B inside sales role located in Toronto (tele-work is possible too for North American residents).

In your first year (with an initial three months probation period) as a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for Delegate Acquisition, meaning that you will recruit Presidents & CEOs to attend the various corporate conferences being planned by this company. The company puts on 2 different conferences per year, all over North America, and each one is focused on a different industry. The conferences bring together some of the brightest minds in the various industries for invaluable networking opportunities. As well, the conferences provide an opportunity for professionals to be a part of workshops, panel discussions, keynote speech presentations, Q & A sessions with leaders, and more. People travel from all across North America to attend these conferences. They typically take place at very high-end hotels and are 2 - 3 days in length.

Typical Day:
This is NOT an event planning job. This is a SALES/RECRUITING job. You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle from start to finish, including cold calling, lead qualification, needs analysis, upselling, cross-selling, proposal presentation (via Internet - not in person), negotiating, overcoming objections, closing, and following up to ensure additional sales in the future. This will be a fast-paced role and you will be expected to reach out to 60+ people per day (either via phone or email).

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is confident, articulate, intelligent, driven, competitive, and a college or university graduate with about 1 year of successful sales experience.
