LOCATION: Sherwood Park, AB
POSITION STATUS: Permanent, Full-Time
DEPARTMENT: Industrial Services, Regional

Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, this role is responsible for inputting and processing time entries in an accurate and timely manner. This position will work closely with Branch Office Administrators to ensure all employees and DSPs are paid correctly. This role will also be responsible for providing back-up support to Collections, including processing, monitoring, and preparing customer payments and accounts, and carrying out collections and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.

Key Responsibility Areas:
Time Entry:
Receive and register invoices, forms, records, and other documents for data capture.
Review payroll entries, identify areas of concern, and notify the Supervisor.
Input data into computerized databases, spreadsheets, or other software.
Import and/or export data between different software.
Verify accuracy and completeness of data.
Identify, label, organize, and maintain electronic storage media.
Collections:
Ensure all payment items are processed and applied accurately.
Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers. Monitor cash receipts and perform collections activities via phone, fax, and internet.
Prepare and distribute bi-weekly and monthly reports to internal management and report any discrepancies and/or areas of concern.
Review historical aging reports weekly, and communicate progress of collections and identify areas of concern.
Reconciliation of customer accounts.
Maintain filing system.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Intermediate skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong time management skills.
Team player with the ability to multi-task.
Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Qualifications:
A certificate or diploma in a related field considered an asset.
1-2 years’ experience in a similar role with high volume data entry.
Experience with Great Plains considered an asset.
Previous experience in a Collections role an asset.
