PROJECT COORDINATOR
LOCATION: Husky Upgrader, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan
POSITION STATUS: Permanent, Full time
DEPARTMENT: Industrial Services, Central
SHIFT: 10 Days On/4 Days Off
HOURS: 10 Hours/Day

Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the day to day duties of a project’s administration, including cost controls, planning, scheduling, and estimating. The incumbent will report to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Assist in plan and spec analysis in order to provide clear and coordinated interpretations of the design/drawings for construction.
  • Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences and errors/omissions.
  • Assist in the development of the project master schedule with input from other project management personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs, track responses, and advise the Project Manager of the status of such logs.
  • Monitor project work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications and codes.
  • Monitor receiving, warehousing functions and material control.
  • Prepare requisitions and purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and expedite deliveries
  • Review and integrate technological opportunities.
  • Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work as required.
  • Understand and perform document control functions in accordance with company policy and procedures, including creating and tracking of RFIs, transmitting and tracking of submittals, composing agreements, and maintaining project expediting list.
  • Review and integrate technological opportunities.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support core company values.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate and organized documentation.
  • Significant knowledge of all project management functions, Industrial Services & Fabrication.
  • Proven ability in using estimating software.

Education and Experience:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Projects or Maintenance within an operating facility.
