The City of Humboldt Community & Leisure Services Department invites applications for the position of Aquatics Manager (1 Year Maternity Leave). This position is responsible for the managing and supervision of a year round Aquatic Centre in the Humboldt Uniplex. The Aquatic Centre features the following: 5 lane main pool, tot pool with beach entry, 186' water slide, hot tub, and change room facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide program planning for the facility
- Develop and monitor budgets
- Responsible for the promotion and marketing of the facility and programs
- Responsible for human resources through recruitment, supervision, scheduling, training and evaluating
- Responsible for creating and fostering a strong atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation among staff
- Ensure staff maintains good public relation in the facility
- Ensure that all administration duties are completed including monthly schedules, reports, billings, and other correspondence
- Develop and implement strategies for the facility
- Ensure that all regulations, policies, and procedures are followed in the facility

Qualifications:
- Certifications: National Lifeguard Service, Water Safety Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor, Standard First Aid or Aquatic Emergency Care, and CPR C
- Preference will be given to Water Safety Instructor Trainer, Lifesaving Instructor Trainer, National Lifeguard Instructor, Aquafit Instructor, and First Aid Instructor
- Preference will be given to candidates with more than two years progressive experience in a supervisory/management position in the field of Aquatics
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision
- This position must provide leadership and work as a team player
- Have knowledge and working experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Possess good leadership, communication, and administration skills
