The City of Brooks requires a Receptionist in the Recreation Services Department. This position is responsible for customer services and reception duties within the Recreation Division. The incumbent will be responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of main control point at the Lakeside Leisure Centre. Primary duties include data entry, systems operations, facility booking, registration database programs and regular cashiering duties. This position is based on a forty-hour work week from Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with attendance at after hour’s meetings as required.
The successful candidate must possess the ability to perform accurately and efficiently in a computerized environment; hold knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; have the ability to accurately record, process, and track messages and customer concerns; and have experience with word processing and spreadsheet applications. The successful applicant must have completed the twelfth (12th) school grade. In addition, completion of a business certificate program from a certified business school/college and a minimum of two (2) years progressive office experience would be an asset. Applicants must be bondable.
The City of Brooks offers a competitive salary and benefit package with this position falling within the scope of the Collective Agreement between the City of Brooks and Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 1032. The starting wage for this position is $19.33 per hour.
