Fast paste convenient store
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Glendale, AZ – March 24, 2013
A typical day at work is cashing out customers quickly to get them on their way. I learned how to work fast on keeping store stocked and clean so customers will feel confident on returning and they can get on their way quickly.

very stressful
Asst. Manager (Former Employee), kent, washington – March 20, 2013
Cons: upper management sucks
Worked for circle k for 5 yrs. The market manager was very nasty and always cussing out the vendors. managers were fine, except the last one i worked for. He would always fix the money if there were cash shortages. He would also do pump tests to fill his car up with gas. So glad I got out of there. To much internal theft!

Fun and productive
Cashier (Former Employee), Pekin, IL – March 19, 2013
Pros: fun work place
Cons: rude customers
Running cash register waiting on customers. Cleaning and stocking on and off during the shift.I Learned how to do money orders and lotto machine. My boss was very nice and understanding. My Co-workers was friendly and supportive. Was dealing with kids who would try to buy cigarettes with no identification and they knew they was under age and would yell – more... at you if they didn't get there way. My most enjoyable part of my job was being able to always have something to do. – less

Fun and fast paced place to work.
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Peoria, IL – March 14, 2013
Pros: meet people, fun, fast paced, free t-shirts
Cons: no cons
There was never a typical day at Circle K. Besides the regular customers nothing stayed the same. There was always something new corporate wanted to try and we always had different customers of all walks of life come through our doors. I learned to value the people behind the register at any store I go to. They could be having the worst day ever but – more... still have a smile and something nice to say just to make your day a better one. At least that's how it was with the team I worked with at Circle K. The hardest part of that job for me was probably changing the gas prices outside, it definitely looks easier than it is. The most enjoyable part was meeting new people every single day. – less

Very productive day
Manager (Former Employee), Charlotte, NC – March 13, 2013
Pros: bonuses
Cons: dissatisfied customers
A typical day was started at 6am with opening the door greeting my first customer and speaking to my employees, walking the store to make sure the previous shift took care of the shift duties. I made sure that the prepairing of coffee and biscuits was set for morning rush. The morning also got the attention of checking in of daily vendors, generating – more... the numbers to do paperwork, restocking safe if needed, pulling money to be counted and taken to bank. What was most enjoyable for me was my customers that I got to see and converse with daily. – less

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Tucson, AZ – March 13, 2013
Pros: job security
Cons: no advancement
I would operate the register, take care of different kinds of transactions. Cashing checks, selling money orders. I would check in vendors. Stock and clean the store. I would make sure the gas islands were clean and ready for customers.

Grateful to have worked here to get experience in retail.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Clearwater, FL – March 12, 2013
Pros: achieved experience in retail
Cons: no room for advancement
I enjoyed working at CircleK, but I would have liked better direction from management. I was not able to advance in the company like I wanted, due to the lack of leadership of the management. I am glad that I worked there because it gave me the experience to work in retail, so I could advance to 7-11 and advance in that company to assistant manager.

A dependable source of income
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Tampa, FL – March 12, 2013
Pros: advancement opportunities
Cons: can be dangerous working overnight alone.
A typical night at worked consisted of Stocking the shelves, Counting Inventory, Checking Customers out on the POS cash register, Money Orders, Chech Cashing. Getting the store ready for the early morning breakfast customers. I learned how to maintain a store and work alone, I learned how to count inventory. I didn't work with anyone else, Just myself – more... for over night shift. The hardest part of the job was making sure I had my Check List complete before 5am. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that I was needed and valued by the manager, I knew that without me, he would have no one to work he graveyard shift and He knew that I knew what I was doing and could handle it. – less

Schedule changes
Cashier (Former Employee), Pensacola, FL – March 11, 2013
The schedule changes like shift work. The management is rarely in the store. No breaks, but plenty of free coffee.
