Cashier (Current Employee), Aulds Cove, Nova Scotia – October 12, 2012
Pros: i get to meet lots of people.
Cons: by working at circle k i am not working in my trade.
Work isnt so bad there, I just need a change in my lifestyle. This is why Im applying to Kiewit, I can work in my trade and have a better salary, along with benefits. Working for Kiewit would benefit me all around, and I think Kiewit would benefit from having me as an employee

I did not like their attitude toward their staff. Values are not in anyone's favour except their own.

Circle k allows you the opportunity to met different on daily basics.
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), Phoenix, AZ – May 14, 2013
A typical day at Circle k for me is ringing up customers and providing fast and convenient shop experience. I also recently learned how to receive vendors as well as audits. The hardest part of working at Circle k is having to juggle different positions while not having enough help. The thing I enjoy best is variety of people i come across on a daily – more... basics as well having your regular customers. – less

Store Manager (Current Employee), Las Vegas, NV – May 14, 2013
Pros: meeting new people
Cons: no breaks
Cirlce K is very unpredictable with how your day will be. It has many exciting challenges. I love working with my team as they are fun and down to earth. I enjoy meeting people from other countries. The hardest part of my job is not always having all the tools to do it with.

fast paced and challenging work environment
Retail Manager (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZ – May 13, 2013
Pros: team work, regular customers
Cons: work/life balance
A typical day starts at 5am and ends after 3p but because of the fast pace and challenges daily, the day passes very quickly. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) ordering 3 times a week for groceries and supplies, customer service, problem solving, scheduling, reconciling books, merchandising, store image inside and out, inventory control, – more... and staffing. I've learned a lot about P & L reports, as well as time management, and leadership skills. Most upper management was supportive and provided assistance when needed. Most co-workers and peers worked as a team to help in the success of a company as a whole. The most difficult part of this position was being on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but the most enjoyable was the customer base and providing excellent customer service and the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day. – less

Assistant Manager
ASSISTANT MANAGER (Former Employee), Rocky Mount, NC – May 13, 2013
Typical work day at Circle K involves assisting customers as they enter the store. When I worked for Circle K, the manager was not a team player. Even though she was the manager, she cerated an environment where it was a seperation between Manager and Assistant. She became my manager as a result of a store buyout. She stripped me of all my duties as – more... an assistant manager and never offered to train me the way she chose to run the store. She made a change and put me on third shift when I was a first or second shift employee. Hardest part of the job was making the adjustment to a manger who seemed uninterested employees working for the company. I learned to be the best employee under the working conditions i was faced with. – less

I am constantly handling money throughout the day. besides waiting on customers i also keep the store – more... clean and the coolers stocked. occasionally i help out with the managers paperwork. Things i dont know, it doesnt take me long to learn. – less

Productive work place, nice customer friendly relationship/atmosphere
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee), North Augusta, SC – May 8, 2013
Pros: unlimited fountain drinks and coffee
Cons: no breaks and continously on your feet, salary wasnt enough to cover bills
I enjoyed my days at work here for the most part. Working with most of my co-workers was pleasant. I learned to deal with a lot of challenging situations, Management was ok, hand mangers and assistant managers in an out. The hardest part of the day was dealing with difficult customers, and the most enjoyable part of my days was the pleasant customers – more... and the interactions with them and the laughter. – less

Great place to work!
Assistant Manager (Current Employee), Yuma, AZ – May 8, 2013
Pros: no layoffs
Cons: no breaks
You have to be the first I’ve ever heard of who actually enjoyed dirty places. I work days and in one day we runs as many transactions as a circle k does in a week. It takes a lot of hard work from us employees to make that store look as clean and as neat as it does. We also aren’t robots either, half my customers are regulars and I know most of them – more... by name. I’m glad you’ve learned to appreciate CK, but you’re missing out on one of the few company’s in the country left that is doing things right. – less

Fun place with fun coworkers
Cashier/Customer Service (Current Employee), Chino, CA – May 7, 2013
Pros: free wifi
Cons: no room for advancement
I like being able to be some sort of help to my customers and making them feel welcome.
Everyday consists of register work, stocking, cleaning, and putting away deliveries. It is usually busy here and if it's not then I'll try and find something to do such as keeping the work area or outside clean.
My coworkers really make it easy for me to come to – more... work – less
