By protecting children’s rights and providing access to positive influences and services, the CAC will focus on the treatment of children, breaking the cycle of abuse, changing lives and allowing the Justice System to more effectively deal with the perpetrators of these crimes. Together, under one roof, four major community partners: Calgary and Area Child and Family Services, Alberta Health Services, Calgary Police Service and Alberta Justice are leading the way by implementing a new model of integrated, collaborative investigation, prosecution and healing. The CAC will act swiftly and cooperatively when reports come to light of physical and emotional abuse, neglect or sexual assault involving a child under the age of 18.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager of Volunteer Services is responsible for designing, developing and implementing the volunteer program; the strategic engagement and coordination of volunteers; providing support to volunteers through a variety of structures and programs; and ensuring that required resources are attained and effectively utilized.

As the successful candidate, you will manage the recruitment, selection and training of volunteers, develop and manage systems to maximize the impact of volunteer hours, work closely with the Partner agencies within the CAC and support the Chief Executive Officer’s efforts in the delivery of education and prevention services.

A people leader, influencer and an effective communicator you possess post secondary education combined with a minimum of three years related experience leading volunteers in a complex not-for-profit organization. Social / health services experience in a related environment would be an asset.

Should this exceptional opportunity be of interest to you, please forward your resume quoting competition #CAC-MGR, no later than June 21, 2012. Interviews of the selected candidates will take place in late June – early July. An enhanced security clearance and pre-employment polygraph will be conducted for this position.
