If you like to play with playdough, aren’t afraid to tie on a pair of skates, and know all the words to the clean-up song, we would be interested in meeting you!
The Chestermere Community Playschool is seeking two creative, caring, and enthusiastic child development professionals to fill open positions on our teaching team. The ideal candidates can creatively integrate activity into age-appropriate learning opportunities, are comfortable running a daily physical education program, and are passionate about teaching young children.
Our playschool provides a play-based program which emphasizes social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development for three to five year olds as they complete the gradual transition from home to Kindergarten. Our teachers provide a safe environment where individual differences are appreciated, communication is open and each child's needs are addressed.
A background in early childhood education is an asset, but all applicants must have, at minimum, a child development assistant certificate (formerly level 1). A police security check/vulnerable record check/CPR first aid certification (level C) would be mandatory upon being hired for the position. Please note – this job is outside the Calgary city limits.
Both positions being recruited are qualified as part-time positions at 28 hours per week. Wages will be negotiated depending on individual qualifications.
To apply for either of the open positions, or to receive the complete job descriptions, please email us!
Applications will be accepted until April 30, 2013
