Busy accounting office is seeking an Office Assistant who is a team player. The position being offered is administrative support to a team dedicated to serving their clients. The candidate will be expected to anticipate the needs of the team, act as a client liaison and hostess for our guests. Applicants should have a desire to learn & grow and in addition, a professional appearance and attitude is expected.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional office setting
  • Minimum typing speed of 75 wpm
  • Exceptional typing skills and attention to detail proficiency
  • Ability to handle a multi-line switchboard
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task under strict timelines
  • Must be able to work with numbers and have a basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and able to liaise with clients and staff
  • Available to work overtime during peak seasons (March and April)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to Staff including monitoring voicemail or email as requested
  • Respond to client /public inquiries
  • Schedule internal and external meetings
  • Undertake all aspects of office administration including maintenance of equipment, supplies, couriers, promotional items, filing, scanning and distributing mail
  • Type correspondence, complex reports and presentations
  • Assemble complex tax returns in compliance with Government filing deadlines as well as project manage those deadlines
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Handle confidential information and produce highly confidential documents
