Research Data Analyst
Does data make you happy? Find analytics fun? Are you really curious about the world around you? Do you have an ambition to break out of the “back room” and move into a role that’s more connected to the brands and topics your daily data represents? Here’s where you may find a fit at Chaordix:
The first thing you need to know is that Chaordix is incredibly ambitious. We’re a small (but rapidly growing!) entrepreneurial company with offices in Calgary, Canada and London, UK. We’re driving big changes in the worlds of market intelligence, branding, and innovation through crowdsourcing, our proprietary technology platform and the cutting edge work of our elite research team.
That last part is where you come in – the elite team.
We’re looking for a rising star to join our team as a Research Data Analyst. Working with the research team, our community moderators, the client engagement team and the rest of the awesome Chaordix crew, the Research Data Analyst will be intimately involved in the design of our community programs and synthesizing the findings for our amazing global client base (you’ll love the client companies you get to work with!).
The Research Data Analyst role is ideal for someone who has experience with collecting, consolidating and organizing social sciences data, but wants to go deeper and wider into the possibilities of research design and interpretation. There’s a ton of opportunity to grow in the role and develop specific analytic expertise.
This role is predominantly focused on working with quantitative data analytics but because we use a mixed-methods approach in our research, we need someone who’s also familiar with qualitative interpretation. For that reason, we’d prefer someone with a social sciences background, but we’ll certainly consider unique candidates from economics, science and other fields.
Now, here’s the really cool part – and the challenge for all prospective candidates – topic diversity.
Because our clients run the gamut from Fortune 500 to non-profit social innovation, from professional consulting services to arts & entertainment, from North America to Europe and beyond, we need someone who is widely engaged with and curious about the world around them. That means you should have passion for and knowledge of marketing and branding, pop culture, global trends, fashion, current events, photography and video, social media, music, art, sports, and the endless flow of internet information. Or as many of those things as possible. And maybe a few we haven’t mentioned.
The Chaordix Culture
We know that an organization’s culture is critical to your decision to take a new position, so here’s some information about our company.
Most importantly, we want you to know that we value authenticity. So, whether it’s in your cover letter, in your interview, on the job, or at a team event, we want you to be yourself. We’re a diverse team with a host of different backgrounds and there’s always room for someone who brings something new to the table. Especially if that thing is home baking. We love home baking. : -)
Once you’re here, we want you to love what you do, to be and feel successful and to be a part of our team for a long, long time. That’s why we’re striving to be the best place you’ve ever worked. Our team is incredibly energized, team members at all levels are supportive and accessible and everyone is focused on delivering for our clients and expanding our business.
That’s the truth.
For four years in a row, Chaordix has been on the WorldBlu List of the World’s Most Democratic Workplaces. Your voice matters here.
At Chaordix, we help each other out. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We laugh a lot. We work in a funky building. We go out as a group. We don’t act like jerks. We have a kitchen stocked with snacks. We have a fridge stocked with beer. We give back to our community. We debate and discuss. We find better ways to do smarter things.
