Technician (Former Employee), Fort McMurray, ABSeptember 2, 2015
Pros: Family Atmosphere
Cons: Lack of work
The days were always organized, great environment to work in, Family like atmosphere. Was happy to goto work. Hardest part of the job was the economy dropping off and the lack of work to fill the day.

Parts Technition (Current Employee), Saskatchewan AgricultureApril 1, 2014
Pros: training, advancement, benefits
Cons: none!
I've never worked for a company where there was so much investment in the employees. I've been with Cervus for one year and I need a calendar to keep track of training dates. Things like Cervus Leadership University and the training allowances for apprentices are also top tier.

The pay is reasonable and competitive, the benefits are good. the stock purchase plan is decent, it only kicks in after a year, but that is pretty standard in the industry.

Overall I feel Cervus is a company that is doing its best to be a great place to work and grow in your career.

Normal Job
Field Service Technician (Current Employee), Medicine HatDecember 9, 2013
Cons: micro management
Find it difficult to work here of late as the service supervisor is very reluctant to allow the mechanics to think for themselves and has to explain every minute detail of the required job.

Cervus has a great business plan and has been expanding substantially. The problem is that corporate doesn't communicate very effectively with the individual locations.
