Systems Desk Officer (Full - time) (Former Employee), Richmond Hill – July 29, 2014
Pros: working hours can be flexible
Cons: working with relatives of the manager
The payroll business that Ceridian does, is on a daily deadline. It can be a stressful day, when production system issues occur or it can be a normal (non-stress)day when the system is running smoothly. I am very content working with my colleagues. Each and everyone of them is an excellent team performer. The hardest part of the job is meeting those – more... daily deadlines. Missing those deadlines would affect an employee receiving their salary pay on time. The most enjoyable part of it is being able to commit to those deadlines and being acknowledged for the effort put into it. – less
Obtained further work experience in another industry
Business/Order Management Analyst (Former Employee), Winnipeg – January 23, 2013
Pros: great co-workers
Cons: dept worked was outsourced to the u.s.
My work experience at Ceridian focused on continuous learning of the payroll industry. A typical day at work - scheduled hours 8 - 4, check the que for payroll orders, process orders in the que (quanitity expected to process 1 - 20 per day - depending on order complexity). Send out e-mail communications to sales reps and division team leads to confirm – more... payroll orders had been booked and commission will be allocated within the booking month. The incomplete procedures required to complete tasks would be the hardest part of the job. The most enjoyable part of the job was the team members I was fortunate to associate myself with along with the opportunity for further personal growth. – less
Supervisor - Ceridian Tax Service Helpdesk (Current Employee), Fountain Valley, CA – September 8, 2014
Pros: the team members.
Family atmosphere. Ceridian culture is one of a family atmosphere. Each quarter and year end we battle with each deadline to meet customer demands to file timely tax returns. My team ensure we receive customer files timely and properly formatted. We work with internal and external customers to ensure files are properly format to ensure timely filing.
Claims Processor (Former Employee), 1487 Gulf to BAy Blvd.Clearwater, FL – September 4, 2014
Pros: interesting work.
Cons: to far from home.
It was through CROWN PERAONNEL LLC. temparay agency. Entered Flexible Spending Accounts into computer. Were the money went in which account. Management was nice. Co-workers were nice and helpful. Learning which account the money goes in or out of. Very interesting.
Cons: organization in transition from service bureau to cloud-based solutions created fear, uncertainty and doubt in existing value proposition.
My tenure at Ceridian was chaotic as senior sales management changed 4 times from the end of 2011 to December of 2013. Shifting product / service goals ( sunset old HPL service to roll out Dayforce cloud services ) obscured sales goals and objectives during the 2012 sales year. Constant implementation challenges and customer support issues interrupted – more... sales momentum during 2013. Corporate name change to Ceridian HCM ( finally from Ceridian ) reflected the confusion and conflict with the rank and file associates as well as the Boardroom. – less
