Job Overview:

Healthcare Human Factors is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual with a background in human factors, design and evaluation to join our innovative and fast-growing team. The Human Factors Analyst will be involved in activities such as:

- Ethnographic studies on clinical users and environments to better understand workflows and tasks
- Leading small to medium-sized human factors evaluations including project planning and management, performing data analysis, developing recommendations and conclusions, reporting, presenting and publishing findings
- Supporting large-scale usability evaluations (developing tasks and scenarios, participant recruitment, survey design and analysis, lab set up and preparations)
- Researching human factors industry standards, protocols and best practices

A successful candidate will have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with an interest for usability and a creative eye for design.

Skill Requirements:

- University Degree or College Diploma in Systems Design/Industrial/Clinical/Biomedical Engineering, Human Factors, Psychology or equivalent industry experience; Masters Degree preferred
- In-depth knowledge of user-centered design methodologies including ethnographic studies, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing
- Experience in supporting and conducting formal and informal usability assessments including the planning, preparation and facilitation of evaluations
- Experience in project management and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects
- Effective team-player with strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities; detail-oriented, self-driven, fast-learner

Preferred Skills:

- Related experience and/or understanding of the healthcare industry and challenges around human factors/usability in healthcare
- Understanding of academic research process and methodologies; published papers and conference proceedings
- Strong IT and digital AV background and skills
- Memberships in HF professional organizations
