Communications Advisor
Centre for Autism Services Alberta – Edmonton, AB
The Centre for Autism Services Alberta is seeking a part-time (0.4 FTE) seasoned communication professional that possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position is responsible for developing and implementing an overall strategy for the Centre for Autism Services Alberta’s overall communication strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the Centre for Autism Services Alberta’s communication strategy
  • Developing and delivering proactive media relation strategies
  • Enhancing the Centre’s website targeting communications for clients, donors and future employees
  • Creating and implementing ongoing targeted client and family communications
  • Promotion of special events and activities
  • Create and maintain Social Media Activities

Qualifications include:

  • The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Writing skills that demonstrate a thorough understanding of an audience and their needs
  • Experience and knowledge on effective use of Social Media
  • Experience managing multiple communication projects with competing deadlines
  • Good consultation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Clear Police Information check, Clean Intervention Record check
