The Training and Internal Communications team is looking for an enthusiastic, professional and highly motivated individual with exceptional writing and presentation capabilities, to join their fast paced team as an Internal Communications Advisor. Reporting to the Writer and Producer, this position requires working directly with the Training and Internal Communications department to support branch operations through targeted and well-structured media content. Your main focus will be maintaining and writing for Cash Store Financial’s audio/video training, communications and information storage tools, and associate dialogue scripts.


Bi-weekly training program

 Develop and maintain scripting for training program videos, quizzes, surveys and activities
 Develop associate sales dialogue scripts, activities and agendas to accompany multimedia training
 Contribute to pre-production planning, concept builds, and on set assistance
 Deliver training via audio/video/multimedia methods as a trainer or actor
 Review audio/video drafts to ensure requirements were met
 Administer communication, reporting and support of the training program

Company Intranet (SharePoint)

 Maintain specific content for the Company intranet (SharePoint)
 Edit and review all training documents to ensure that they are grammatically correct, esthetically pleasing, and meet department standards
 Assist in the writing and maintaining of Company Policies and Procedures

Internal Communications
 Collaborate with internal clients to produce and distribute internal communications through various mediums (video, email, newsletter)
 Work with senior management to develop meeting agendas for branches
 Conduct Webinar sessions with field associates to coach good meeting practices
 Understand and monitor company key performance indicators (KPI)
 Assist, spearhead and review corporate PowerPoint presentations

Copy Editing
 Before print materials are released from the Training department; all documents must be reviewed for:
 Spelling, punctuation, grammar, terminology and jargon
 Consistent and proper use of corporate language within compliance and regulation parameters
 Cooperate with Writer and Producer to determine effective distribution method for requested content (video, email, newsletter)


As the ideal candidate you are:
o Enrolled in or near completion of a degree/diploma in Media Communications, Communications, Professional Writing, Adult Education, and/or,
o Experienced in providing superior customer service and possess a minimum of 5 years of training development or communications experience in the corporate office of a retail service provider, alternative financial service provider or banking provider
o Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and knowledgeable of Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Pro
o Experienced with SharePoint development and content management
o Experienced with project management or coordination, and have strong oral and written communication skills and exceptional organizational and time management skills
o A self-starter with the ability to self-manage and is diplomatic and professional
o Able to maintain a tactical knowledge and skill set of all Cash Store Financial products, services, account management practices, systems, operational processes and sales processes
o An excellent writer with the ability to translate high level business requirements or existing training materials into detailed processes or dialogue, and deliver content that is grammatically correct, logically presented, creative and contains a positive and professional undertone
