Cascades Recovery Inc., one of North America’s largest recycling companies with operations throughout Canada and the Northeast United States, has an immediate opening for Scale Clerk in our Admin Department to be based at our facility located in Edmonton.
Reporting to the Administration Manager, this position is responsible for implementing the organization’s policies and assist in the overall operation in the Plant. As a Scale Clerk, you will be responsible for processing of all scale tickets for previous day and current day for all National, Municipal, and Plant loads, ensuring all scale tickets are entered correctly,advising sales reps of clients bringing in loads with different commodities,ensuring/enforcing all drivers are aware of proper PPE protocol when entering our facility and parking,scanning of all Load Logs for National for each business day, input weights and measures information into the data base, filing of all scale tickets and ensuring they are all filed in numerical order, data entry of BOL information to provide outbound drivers with their proper loading tickets, being polite and courteous to all drivers coming across the inbound/outbound scale, data entry of the daily baled inventory, and emailing the document to all parties involved, scaling of all outbound trucks,ensuring all truck drivers have the correct and accurate paperwork and updating the outbound log with all scale tickets at the end of the business day.
As a successful must have experience in basic accounting, be able to work with invoices and create ledgers, must have good computer knowledge with a good understanding of MS Windows, Excel and Word, knowledge of weights and measures (kgs, MT) would be an asset, minimum 2-4 years previous office experience is required, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and should take initiative in learning, should possess strong time management, organizational and problem solving skills, should have good attention to detail, strong concept comprehension and information retention skills and just have own transportation.
