Cascades Recovery Inc. is in the business of managing discarded materials. We recover materials that would otherwise go to landfill. These recovered materials are then used to create new products. With material recovery facilities located in Canada and the U.S., we are one of North American’s largest collectors, processors and marketers of recyclable materials. We handle over 1.56 million tons of recyclable materials annually.

We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Edmonton. This position will be responsible for all aspects of plant operations and transportation acitivities in order to maximize production, minimize costs and to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

The duties of this position involve the day to day supervison of plant operations staff and drivers (10 staff in total) and overseeing the office and sales function. This includes all of the health & safety, production, administration, cost and inventry control, and logistics activities associated with an industrial environmentt.

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing and/or warehousing setting. Knowledge of the recycling and/or waste management industry would be a definite asset. Experience with transportation activities would also be beneficial. Should possess strong supervisory and organization skills. Should have good computer knowledge and have an understanding of microsoft office, excel, word, etc.
