loader operator, Edmonton, AB - 8 January 2017
I had this misfortune of reading a add on indeed.ca for a position at cascades recovery for a loader operator position in edmonton. I have always believed reviews of companys can be hit or miss and didn't put much stock into what I had read. Unfortunately for this company, the negatives are very much true.
I will start off by saying when I had a interview a lot of chat was around culture, or lack of. The company had recently hired a new plant manager and he wanted to change it. He then spent a great deal of time talking about how this company has room for employees to grow. Sounds great. Who wouldn't want to work at a place where a person can move up the corporate ladder?
I started working for cascades and soon realized this was one of the most illogical, toxic environments I had ever been in my 12 years of professional working. Staff were constantly talking about quiting, respect towards each other was missing, and to make matters worse, the recently hired manager was hiring people that clearly had issues with working with others. It became crystal clear why opertunities to advance exist, people quit and find more stable, positive work environments.
I would disregard any job postings from this company and spend your time focusing on other employers. This company is just a revolving door of staff that see through the fake imagine they pretend to be.
