The Night Auditor will:
Ensure the overall operation of the hotel between 11pm and 7:30am.
To balance all revenue departments, including F&B, credit card receipts, verify cash intake and the accuracy of all hotel accounts.
Correct errors found in individual cashiers work.
Run daily reports, file and perform all ends of day procedures.
Identify and sort all vouchers and folios from the current day's business.
Post room and tax and balance to daily source income for business report.
Answer telephones and check guests in and out. Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude during all interactions with the guest. Including dealing with distressed and upset guests.
Be able to analyze and problem solve any aspect of the night audit function.
Will work very closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure that all systems are in-line with company internal control policies.
Follow all safety and security procedures to maintain the assets, team members and guests in a safe manner. Report all unsafe conditions immediately
As an integral member of the Carrot River Inn Management Team, the Hotel Night Auditor will be expected to work within the CRI values and must be able to identify, respond to, and manage the changing needs of the operation. This is a hand on position, requiring the successful candidate to push up their sleeves and perform all accounting functions and help Housekeeping as required. This position requires previous night audit or front desk clerk experience essential. Solid Excel skills and knowledge is essential while previous accounting experience is beneficial.
Ability to read, write and communicate clearly.
Windows 98 or higher, including proficient in Excel and Word.
Able to stand for entire shift and CPR with first aid qualifications beneficial
Must be available to work weekends and or weekdays
