Informatica Developer/Support Analyst - Perm - (CA-ON-Downtown Toronto)
Compensation: $87K - $95K / Year
87-95K BASE + 20% BONUS + 4 WEEKS VACATION
Looking for an Informatica expert to support the Informatica applications into production. Candidates must have both development and support skills as both are needed in this role.
As a Production Application Support Specialist working within the Technology group to partner with the business to ensure systems are operating flawlessly. You will provide application or infrastructure technical expertise as needed for projects and initiatives related to the implementations.
Manage, support, and resolve complex vendor and proprietary technical issues arising in a calm and efficient manner
Lead project coordination efforts in on-boarding clients, synchronize internal technologyteams to provide optimal end-to-end solution for both internal and external clients
Evaluate service requests to ensure adherence to standards and processes, identifying inconsistencies while analyzing potential impacts of problems
Analyze complex technical information to determine risk levels and technical feasibility when making changes to applications
Identify and resolve medium to highly complex production problems for support of applications. Identify root cause and defining actions to eliminate recurrence
Successfully prioritize and manage multiple requests, projects, and activities typically working under pressure
Apply knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques to recognize, anticipate, and resolve organizational, operational, or process problems
Effectively communicate problems and resolutions in a high stress environment
Escalate technology issues to the appropriate application support and technology infrastructure groups
Support end of day processes
Identify proactive solutions for recurring technology occurrences to benefit the business
Identify and resolve high to criticial complex production problems for support of the Informatica 8 and Informatica 9 platforms.
Installation of Informatica 8.x, 9.x client/server and patches on UNIX Solaris platform
Creation and management of Informatica project folders, shared folders and connectors
Troubleshooting of tool related problems
Support developers on Informatica issues and guide them to follow the best practices and standards
Code deployment of UNIX/Informatica components to production/QA environments
Management of users/groups and repository security in Informatica
Monitoring of environments and preventive measures to avert potential problems
Work with various technical teams to develop and manage the execution of implementation plans for high to criticial complex new applications and maintenance updates for Informatica.
Monitor and analyze services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions that may cross multiple teams, functions, and processes.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Must have over 3 years of professional experience with Production Application Support, preferably within the Financial or Investment Industry
Should have a solid practical or academic understanding of Finance or Investments
Must have experience using and supporting technical tools such as Solaris, Windows, Informatica 8 and 9, Autosys/Tidal Scheduling (nice to have), FeedHub, Tumbleweed File Transfer (nice to have) or related hardware and software applications
Must have exposure to all stages of the development lifecycle, from requirements through to design, development, rollout, support and maintenance
Must have knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical problems (hardware, software, application or operational)
Must have knowledge of activities, tasks, practices, deliverables and techniques for implementing new or enhanced applications into a production environment
Must have knowledge of and experience with defining, implementing changes to, and supporting a production application
Must have knowledge and utilization of production scheduling, control procedures and maintaining of processing service deliverables
Must have strong relationship management skills
