Administration and Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Markham, ON – 4 September 2013
My review for Canon is one that may take sometime to explain. My experience grew with the job as time went on. I had daily interact with customers and various clients that did much business with our company. My telephone experience of calling customers and billing them for service contracts for their Canon equipment built an awesome and rewarding communication for the company. i also had a great and friendly team as we worked closely together getting the job done, which made month end closings quite rewarding.I may also say the management team was helpful and tried every effort to get each person to learn as much as possible while paying attention to details. I called and billed over 200 customers each day sending out invoices information while handling other tasks. This job had given me my first great experience in working in this environment for over twelve years....Not forgetting the hardest part of the job was to get a client to co-operate and communicate, once you have bonded in that way it makes the job easier. That also had become the most enjoyable part of the job and meet my month-end quota quite rewarding.
Business Development Specialist (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 13 June 2017
Canon is a great opportunity to build your sales resume and grow within the many areas of a company if you are focused on steady employment. Very good sales training and name recognition for your resume.
-the only good thing about this job is the benefits (rebates on canon products and good insurance) -boring products to sell and deal with -managers are all horrible -impossible to use your own style of selling since everything is micromanage. -people that do well are usually the suckups -would not recommend this job to my worst enemy.
The work load was high and we had to do overtime during month end. Poorly managed in Montreal. They don't follow the company's HR policies. The headquarter in Toronto doesn't seem to be aware of the way the department is being managed in Montreal. Favoritism. Some people were working hard while others were only socializing. Canon is a good company, with a great philosophy. It is really a shame that the office in Montreal does not follow the guidelines.

Parts Clerk,van driver,warehouseman (Former Employee) – Ville mt.Royal – 19 November 2015
It was a nice place to work for we had a good social structure there. The company paid well and if you were in the technical field you could advance. The department I worked in were very close and we sociallized outside of work hours. The company restructured and they closed our warehouse .they were very fair to the end of my employment there.
Corporate Executive- Major Accounts (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 16 November 2015
I was responsible for the day to day management of Key Accounts. Roughly 300 accounts. The corporate head office had a subsidized cafeteria which was fantastic. The culture of my colleagues was really great. Mentoring, sharing ideas. Management was not the greatest. Very negative from a sales motivational perspective.
