CUTA maintains an active technical services program intended to strengthen the role of public transit in Canada, and to help members achieve their own objectives. It is the primary centre for transit-related research in Canada, and the quality of its work is internationally recognized. Over the last decade, our research projects have included topics such as transit infrastructure needs, bus rapid transit, transit's impact on the economy and public health, and environmental management practices. Our research program is developed with the active assistance of our members, and is designed to support the development of improved transit practices.
CUTA is the only source of detailed transit statistics in Canada, and produces statistical reports on the operation and performance of transit systems across Canada. The association also maintains one of the most comprehensive collections of transit reference materials, reports and documents in Canada, with over 4,000 volumes of specialized information. – less–ZoomInfo
