Canadian Tool & Die Ltd. is seeking a permanent Administrative Assistant. This individual will be required to perform an array of administrative duties including secretarial and receptionist duties. This includes coordinating and communicating office activities, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, and scheduling appointments. The Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for company correspondence. Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.
Successful applicants will have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or other related field would be an asset. The candidate must possess strong knowledge of general office procedures, superior typing skills, and have the ability to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc. The individual will have general mathematical skills, the ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form and knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and the ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases is a must. Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills along with strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team are required.
