The Canadian Red Cross Society (CRCS), a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping Canadians, as well as the most vulnerable throughout the world, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for the Finance department. The incumbent will report to the National Corporate Controller to provide administrative, technological and database support to Finance as well as aid in the administration of the Purchase Card program for the Society.
-Provide administrative support to the National Corporate Controller and the Finance department.
-Responsible for all details and logistics related to organizing meetings and/or training sessions on behalf of the National Corporate Controller. Research background information for reports or position papers, compiles and summarizes statistical data, as required.
-Reconcile, analyze, and perform internal audits on purchase card expenses.
-Provide support and back up to the Purchase Card Administrator
-Maintain and update Finance department intranet
-Develop a variety of presentations using spreadsheets, graphics, video as required, providing technical support for the preparation of presentations at various meetings.
-Support other Red Cross initiatives, as needed, to provide for a coordinated team effort to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in our communities.
Completion of a two-year college diploma in Business Administration or a related field, and a minimum of three years of job-related work experience, preferably in a financial environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Advanced working knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
-Experience with AccPac, Raiser’s Edge and other databases are an asset.
-Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English is mandatory. Fluency in French is an asset.
-Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
-Ability to problem solve, exercise sound judgment, combined with flexibility, are essential.
-Strong knowledge of standard office procedures.
-A clear Criminal Record Check is required.
-Standard First Aid & CPR certification is required.
