The Canadian Opera Company is based in Toronto, Ontario, and is the largest producer of opera in Canada and among the largest in North America. The company annually presents six fully-staged productions at Toronto's Hummingbird Centre for the Performing Arts between September and April. In addition, it presents operatic and orchestral concerts in venues throughout the city and collaborates with a number of arts organizations. In total, over 110,000 people attend COC mainstage performances annually, and the COC currently has over 17,000 subscribers.
