The Quality Assurance Auditor/Trainer is responsible for the support of the Quality Assurance program as it relates to the practices and performance of maintenance in accordance with the AMO’s Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) and the AOC Maintenance Control Manual (MCM).
Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Canadian North’s Quality Assurance Program
Co-ordinate and conduct internal quality audits as specified by the MPM and MCM.
Co-ordinate and conduct external audits of vendors and agencies contracted to the Canadian North for airframe, engine and component maintenance.
Assessment and review of sub-contractors.
Assist in approval of Vendors.
Assist in control and maintenance of records of training for maintenance employees.
Ensure that Service Difficulty Report reporting is accomplished in accordance with CARs.
Assist in response to any maintenance related Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reports (CADORs).
Assist in developing, implementing and tracking ACA training on MCM, MPM, Stores and re-current Human Factors.
Recommend the Issue and suspension of Canadian North AMO ACA’s as appropriate
Ensure that Canadian North and contractor personnel meet all aspects of the required maintenance training as defined by the MCM and MPM.
Assist in developing amendments of all Canadian North’s Manuals.
Monitor the repair and maintenance of Canadian North aircraft, to ensure correct application of company policies and procedures.
Monitor the shipping, receiving, stores, quarantine stores and inspection functions.
Control the quality of records for parts, components and shelf life program.
Recommend to remove aircraft from service if not in compliance with the regulations including Airworthiness Directives.
Assist in regulatory up dates at reliability meetings and correlate yearly statistics on MEL usage, Maintenance extensions, SDRs, flight permits and CADORs.
Assist in the development of maintenance Fatigue Management process.
In the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Auditor may assume the duties assigned to that position, for a period not to exceed 30 days.
Foster the development and credibility of aviation maintenance professionals through effective training and recurrent training.
Other duties as assigned.
Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License with M1 and/or M2 Rating
5 Years of experience in aircraft maintenance
Quality Assurance experience considered an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Exceptional time management skills
Demonstrate high degree of emotional maturity and ability to operate under stressful situations
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no stipulations
Clean criminal record
