This position will include handling full cycle accounting functions and other duties as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Full cycle accounting including AP, AR and payroll
Prepare period or cost statements or reports
Preparation and the filing of monthly, quarterly or annual GST returns
Preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations
Analyzing monthly financial information
Provide recommendations for transaction handling to business unit
Reconciling the intercompany accounts between company and other entities
Preparation of monthly journal entries as required
Maintain proper filing through electronic and paper files
Respond to accounting related inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems in a quick and efficient manner
Post-secondary degree/diploma in accounting is desirable
Minimum of 3 years accounting experience. Prior experience with payroll would be considered an asset.
Experience with SAP – Business One an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations, other departments and external parties.
Excellent analytical skills and takes initiatives to solve problems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines
Advanced user of Microsoft excel
