This is a very unhealthy environment. They are trying to restructure but it is all cosmetic. If you are a person happy with status quo and not frustrated but red tape then you could be happy here. It is a department where you have no decision making ability and be prepared to have you work completely redone as it passes through the layers of reviews. People in Team Lead Positions are not a fit for the role. They preach they are all about staff but they really aren't. They also do not deal with personal issues.
The rest of the company does amazing work and has really fantastic people but work life balance is challenging due to workload and timelines but the program areas do amazing work!

Many promoted to positions that they are not qualified to do, and those qualified, are not even considered.

Benefits package is great.

Salary not matched to responsibilities; too low, and most not encouraged to seek changes.

 Supported internal and external users with CIHI.  Fixed various login and rights issues with user accounts admin work.  Configured VPN for clients at home.  Widows 7 deployment.  Lead I.T. contact during flood relief in CIHI main office.  Management of I.T. equipment storage.  Dealt with all types of various software and hardware issues related to all systems.  Updating and detailing documentation.  Other tasks include: Computer equipment decommissioning and disposal, Keyfob/token deactivations, system optimizations, computer imaging and virus removal.
