Accounting Administrator

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage the Association’s financial operations in a fast pace and dynamic environment. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for: full cycle accounting; accurate and timely entry and reporting of data; HR and payroll functions. The ideal candidate will liaise and maintain professional communication with both internal and external stakeholders and be a self-motivated team player.

Key Responsibilities:

- Full-cycle accounting
- Monthly and annual financial statements
- Year-end lead sheets
- Preparation and entry of journal entries
- Monthly budgets and forecasts
- Accounts receivables and accounts payables
- Monthly GST returns
- Budget preparation and cash forecasting
- Monitor and manage cash on a daily basis
- Bank deposits
- Track membership payments and file reports to provincial and national association
- Prepare Society Annual Review and other statutory reports
- Administration of payroll, employee benefits, personnel and office policies
- Co-ordinate employee benefit program
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned


- 3 – 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
- Degree or diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, or equivalency is an asset
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, optimistic, professional
- Ability to take initiative, organize and meet time sensitive deadlines
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals
- Experience with Sage Acc-Pac, Excel, CRM Database, Microsoft, Outlook
