Canac was a very interesting place to be. We operated at the DOW Chemicals Prentiss site. Where i learned a lot of interesting things, and met a lot of interesting people.

New company formed to do a specific government assigmnent
Creative thinking was encouraged
Staf was treated well, Chilfren's Christmas Party and Staff Year end Celebrations.
The Hardest part of job was dealing with tight government deadlines
the most enjoyable part was working relationship with staff were always forward with no hidden adgendas

A typical day working for Canac on the railroad. Starts by some of the men have to bridge up all of the carts that have the new ties on them. Then the machine starts up, and the fun begins, depending on what position your working on the machine, your always moving doing something at your station to keep the production of the machine going to keep the – more... new ties dropping on the track. Canac went out of Business. Had a lot of waste, wasnt very good for Job security.

bring in rail cars from hump yard spot up tank rail cars so the can be filled
