Job Summary

The Marketing and Public Relations Administrator is responsible for the coordination and execution of marketing and communications initiatives, as assigned by the Marketing Manager. This role works closely with internal clients to ensure the department provides superior support and service to ensure a consistent and effective communication of the canfitpro brand, its products and services to all stakeholders.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Media Relations
Maintain accuracy of national media lists
Coordinate distribution of information i.e. news releases, brochures, etc.
Fulfill requests for information
Identify new and relevant media outlets for canfitpro to pitch and initiate relationships

Website
Post updated and timely content to website in all areas using content provided by editorial team
Locate and post news releases immediately upon distribution
Maintain accuracy of website, removing outdated information and/or correcting errors

E-Communications
Manage, construct and distribute e-communications for various departments
Social Media and External Sites
Identify relevant topics for posting on behalf of canfitpro
Represent the company effectively, enthusiastically and ethically on agreed sites with postings (under the canfitpro name) according to (or exceeding) the schedule
Post promotional videos effectively

Relationship Management
Establish and maintain professional working relationship with all levels of the organization

Projects
Manage all marketing projects
Manage workload of graphic designers
Monitor and track all marketing expenses
Facilitate the print production of all internal/external pieces

Qualifications

Education
Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding time management and organization
Strong proof reading ability, able to read and edit copy
High attention to detail
Superior interpersonal and relationship management skills
Ability to coordinate and prioritize effectively multiple projects simultaneously
Ability and interest to work with basic Content Management Systems (Joomla) and Applications
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

Proficiency in the use of:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access) and the internet
Social Media (specifically Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn)
HTML (minimum basic level) is an asset

Experience
2 to 3 years in project coordination
1 year in marketing, communications or related disciplines
Experience and interest in the fitness industry is an asset
