Position Summary and Job Magnitude

The Night Auditor position is responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction at all times. This position is responsible for front desk operations, including but not limited to ensuring that superior guest service is given to our residents/guests, coordinate with community partners in emergency scenarios and is capable of making sound decisions with little supervision.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Demonstrate a high degree of customer service at all times
  • Ability to work as an individual as the overnight shift is designated to one person
  • Monitor the buildings to ensure the safety and security of all residents/guests
  • Maintain video surveillance and ensure that cameras are recording at all times
  • Complete thorough building rounds
  • Proactively seek out situations requiring staff assistance
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
  • Act as a contact for police, fire and/or other emergency response crews during an incident requiring staff assistance
  • Inform residents of safety policies and enforce when necessary
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and follow proper communication channels when handling emergencies including providing emergency first aid and/or summoning additional medical assistance when necessary
  • Administrative and financial duties
  • Complete daily reconciliations and financial reports
  • Complete daily bank deposits and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Maintain adequate communication with other staff members and management
  • Make and confirm resident/guest reservations
  • Demonstrate appropriate cash handling and financial responsibility skill sets
  • Respond to questions and provide information to resident/guests in a friendly, professional manner
  • Maintain clear and orderly standards at the front desk/main lobby areas
  • Complete light housekeeping duties as outlined by the managers
  • Complete other assigned tasks in preparation for the following work day

High School Diploma, College or University preferred
Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year industry or related residence/hotel experience an asset.

Must be able to work overnight shifts.
Must possess superior verbal communication skills
Must possess superior customer service skills
Must possess superior positive attitude
Must be able to handle multiple projects at once
Must possess a G Class Drivers License
Must possess ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
Must possess ability to life 25-30 pounds
