A Campers Village Sales person assists customers with the selection of merchandise by providing friendly, knowledgeable service. A Salesperson may be required to work in multiple areas of the store, but will be an expert in at least one area. He or she epitomizes what Campers Village stands for by providing the best service possible. A salesperson at Campers Village has a passion and enthusiasm for helping people enjoy the outdoors.
Reports to: Department Heads, Assistant Manager, Store Manager.
-Greets customers and identifies their needs.
-Demonstrates, fits, or measures merchandise for customers.
-Advises customers on how to care for and use products.
-Stocks shelves and creates displays when necessary.
-Fills out paperwork for Divisional Transfers.
-Creates Special Orders in computer and uses point of sale system.
-Answers phones and directs calls.
-Monitors customers in an effort to prevent theft.
-Is aware of current sales promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and store security practices.
-Is committed to achieving sales goals.
-Outgoing and personable.
-Can multitask and prioritize.
-Operates well under stress.
-Possesses an awareness of outdoor industry trends and current customer tastes.
-Is able to remain courteous, patient and tactful when dealing with difficult customers.
