Our Investment Services Assistant (ISA) is a team member in Cambrian Credit Union; and provides consistently high levels of quality, efficient and accurate sales, service & support within Cambrian’s wealth management operation. The Investment Services Assistant will assist the Credential advisors and the Investment Services Manager in maintaining and growing Cambrian’s wealth management portfolio, as well as provide daily administrative support.

As our Investment Services Assistant you will:
-Provide daily sales service and support to the Credential advisors including preparing all documentation required for opening and maintaining accounts in accordance with regulatory requirements. The Investment Services Assistant acts as the primary administrative contact for the Investment Services Manager and the Credential advisors.
-Provide first point‐of‐contact administrative support for Credential Securities inquiries from the retail branch network and Cambrian’s wealth management team.
-Act as the primary liaison with Credential Client Relations and follow up utilizing Online Service Management (OSM) system.
-Assist in trade execution for all investment transactions individual stocks, bonds, mutual funds and GIC.
-Maintain accurate reporting on all Credential Securities investment referrals between retail branch network and Credential Securities, or as needed/required.
-Assist Investment Services Manager in project management of marketing activities including special projects, seminars and client appreciate events.
-Provide assistance and support to the Investment Services Manager as deemed necessary or as required.
What this role requires of you:
-Minimum one year demonstrated proficiency in retail financial services. Experience within a wealth management operation would be an asset.
-Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook, with a demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly.
-Ability to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) within 18 months of assuming role. Strong organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
-Disciplined self starter who works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
-Critical thinker who analyzes information and uses logic to address issues, problems and challenges.
-Strong interpersonal and excellent communication (verbal & written) skills.
-Ability to work well in a fast paced environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
-Innovative thinker, open to new ideas, processes, and applications.
