Schedule: Monday to Friday
Reporting to the Clinical Section Chief, General Pathology, this position assists with the development and maintenance for research related materials, policies and procedures for Utilization Office and acts as the day to day contact person.
Assist in the development of study procedures and research materials, including where applicable questionnaires, data collection, instrument, and other study documentation.
Assist with development of policies and procedures to deal with the flow and processing of study materials, samples and data.
Completes data entry for research project.
Assisting with reviewing relevant literature, conducting interviews, collecting and sharing information.
Assisting in dealing with general inquiries about the research project.
Researching and gathering information from other health care organizations across North America regarding best practices.
Assisting with coordinating and providing reports to AHS and additional stakeholders.
Other related duties.

Key Skills and Aptitudes
Completion of a university Bachelor of Science program in an applicable discipline is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with formal research training or relevant experience working on research protocols in a clinical setting.
Ability to receive direction, collaborate with others in setting goals, and work effectively in teams to achieve agreed upon goals.
Ability to work independently and prioritize activities to meet project-based deadlines is required.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications(Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
Previous experience in health care environment is preferred.
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patient records.
Any Canadian equivalency to English 30 or 33 or CLBA score of Benchmark 8 completed within the last 6 months.
