Schedule: Monday to Friday days.
Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, this position is responsible for developing, analyzing and maintaining data for Human Resources, leading selected HR Projects and initiatives, as well as, administering the Compensation programs,
-Lead in job evaluation project for exempt positions.
-Analyzes useful and meaningful data for use by Administration in managing human resources,
such as employee absences including sickness, personal leave, continuing education, staff
movement such as transfers.
-Collects, enters and tracks data from a variety of sources to effectively present reports.
-Develops, supports and uses multiple databases.
-Creates, implements and maintains valid and reliable data collection procedures and
-Ensures processes and data required for reporting purposes, is valid and reliable, and available in
a timely manner. Data integrity is maintained through the development and maintenance of data
collection procedures and processes.
-Develops, administers and maintains data for the purpose of supporting Human Resources
planning, monitoring and reporting of service delivery. Identifies, evaluates and implements
measurement systems for current and future HR performance.
-Prepares statistical summaries, analysis and special reports as requested or related to HR
initiatives such as; workforce planning, retention, turnover, transition, succession planning, and
-Act as internal resource to Human Resources and Operations in assessing current practices
within HR for the purpose of finding optimal utilization of existing tools and system resources,
-Designs, develops, implements and trains users on new tools designed to create greater
efficiencies and data integrity.
-Gathers, stores and analyses data for the purposes of collective bargaining.
-Completes data surveys for the purposes of market analysis in compensation program.
-Represents HR in other departments to ensure HR data needs are recognized and understood in
the development of corporate information systems.
-Reviews letter of offers created by Medical Division and process increases, retro’s and AMA
retention payments when communicated. Communicates with U of C regarding changes and
reconcile GFT payments.
-Responsible for determining placement in pay band for New Hire and Promotions and creating
Total rewards statements.
-Responsible for the leadership and management of selected projects and initiatives.
-Observes current processes and assists in the creation of new processes designed to increase
organizational efficiency or accuracy.
-Supports annual salary administration by assisting in the design, costing, and rolling out annual
increase for exempt staff.
-Prepares compensation reports, documents, analysis and audits to meet a variety of business
-Calculates and communicates scheduled payouts of specific banks for HSAA employees.
-Other duties as assigned.

appropriately and maintain the confidentiality / security of all information related to patients, staff
and CLS business.

Skills and Aptitudes
-Completion of related post-secondary education.
-3 – 5 years experience with data manipulation or database structure, data collection and
-Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) is preferred.
-Experience with Job Evaluation.
-Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Access.
-Strong statistical and computational skills.
-Previous project management experience is preferred.
-Must be accurate, well organized, flexible and capable of working independently.
-Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, problem solving and interpersonal
-SQL understanding is an asset.
