Calgary Alternative Support Services (CASS) is a great supportive organization. All of the programs and services are client centered, no matter what the client needs or wants he/she receives. Along with recreational and fun activities everyone participates in, the individuals are also assisted with daily living skills and receives help in their workplace. Although assistance is required within their jobs and skills, the client has independence to accomplish as much on their own as they can. From CASS I've learned patience, how to teach the individuals with various learning strategies, and how to cope and handle each persons disability. The most rewarding part was knowing I was making a difference in someones life regardless of long or short term effects.

Poor onboarding system. No coaching or mentoring. Boss didn't know anything about HR. Rarely saw my supervisor. Coordinators and Receptionist were nice people. They follow just the minimum standards. Not a progressive company.

i was offered a job and the day I was to to start they didn't even have my contract to sign so I was sent home. Came back the next day and that's when I found out they only pay once a month!?! Which I wasn't told this during the interview. Very unprofessional people to work for.
